This portrait image is part of our ‘Dunes’ series, mostly taken whilst exploring Western Sahara during the winter of 2017/18.

We love photographing dunes, the beauty of the subtle shadows and tones of the sand against a seemingly ever present clear sky with the constantly changing shapes sculpted by the desert winds offer never ending exciting compositions, lines and perspectives to photograph. So peaceful and serene you feel a world away from civilisation we could stay for days on end (as long as we have enough water!).
